OZEV & WCS Schemes

Money Off Your EV Charging Point

For Landlords, Apartment Block Owners and Businesses

On 31st March 2022, the OZEV Grant changed to not include homeowners at domestic properties. However, the grant is still open to Landlords, Apartment Block Owners & Social Housing Providers.

This means the eligible parties will be able to claim up to £350 off the installation of a brand new EV Charging Point for the respective properties.

By expanding facilities for your tenants, it will aim to provide owners of an electric vehicle with an extra benefit and attract them to the property you have listed.

The OZEV Grant has now gone paperless, but don’t worry here at Midlec Ltd we’re here to help you through the process!

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) has also changed to increase eligibility to more businesses.

These include;

  • SME’s
  • B&B’s
  • Small Accommodation Businesses
  • Charities
  • Commercially Let Premises Owners

This means it will open up the oppurtunity of more businesses being able to claim up to £350 off the cost of each EV Charging Point Installation. This means also that businesses in the hospitality sector can claim against charging points installed for the use of guests and not just by staff.

This extra benefit means it provides more facilities to clients & guests and could be a deciding factor to attract custom to your business.

If you think that an EV Charging Point could benefit your business, please do not hesitate to contact us and a member of the team will be more than happy to help.
